Size guide – Boots

Use our size guide to find exactly the right size combination for your De Niro boots or Petrie boots.

To get an accurate measurement, please use a tape measure. Also make sure that you are wearing your riding breeches and socks.

The video below will show you exactly how to measure and find your De Niro or Petrie sizes.

Do you have any further questions, or do you need any more information? Scroll down, for a further overview of every step in the process of finding your De Niro sizes.

Have you taken your measurements? Choose your foot size in the drop-down menu at the bottom of this page. A table will appear. Compare your measurements with the table, and you’ll find your De Niro or Petrie sizes!

Are your measurements in between two sizes in the table, or are you a bit unsure about the measurements you took? Please note that with every long boots order, you’ll receive a free fitting kit! Click here for more information.
We also offer a variety of custom sizing options. Click here for more information.

Step 1

CHOOSE THE RIGHT FOOT SIZE

  • What size do you normally wear? Compare that size to the EU equivalent. DeNiro tall boots work with EU foot sizes!
  • You can find the right EU-foot size in the table below, by looking up your UK / US size in the foot size chart.

Step 2

MEASURE THE HEIGHT

  • Make sure that you’re wearing breeches and your riding socks.
  • Stand up, with equal weight on both legs. Put your feet at shoulder width.
  • Measure the height of your lower leg, all the way from the ground to high up in the crease of your knee.

  • Write down the height in centimeters or inches.
  • Do so for both legs, to make sure there’s not a difference

Step 3

MEASURE YOUR CALF

  • You’re still wearing breeches and socks, you’re standing up, with equal weight on both legs, with your feet at shoulder width, right?!
  • Then, measure the circumference of your calf at the widest point. Make sure the measure is snug!
  • Write down the centimeters or inches you’ve measured.

  • Measure the width right below your knee cap. Is the difference between the width of your calf and your knee around 2 cm? Then any measured De Niro size should be fine for you!
If the difference is a lot more or a lot less than 2 cm, have a look at our custom knee-sizing options.

Step 4

KEEP IN MIND..

  • Some DeNiro models (like Tricolore or Salento boots) come with an elastic panel in the back. For those models, you should always measure extra tight. Are you in between two calf sizes for those models? Go with the tighter one!

  • Some boots are made out of extra soft (quick) leather. Very soft boots drop more than harder boots will, so if you are in between two height sizes for those models, go with the taller one!
