The inner lining of Samshield XC/XJ helmets is made of “shape memory”-material, which ensures a constant thickness over the years of use and the semi-rigid jugular cancels all risks of tipping the helmet in case of a violent movement. This internal comfort foam is removable thanks to a strong clip system. It can therefore be washed at will in order to constantly be able to wear a clean and fragrant-free helmet. The inner lining is a very important part of the helmet, as the correct fit on the head of the rider depends on it being of the right thickness. The ‘closed’ liner (closed at the level of the forehead) bring additional stability. This liner comes standard with every XC or XJ helmet.

2 shell sizes are available: M and L. Each shell can accommodate 5 to 6 inner foams of different sizes in order to obtain a perfect adjustment to the rider’s head. The size grid is available from 53 to 61. The fact that the lining corresponds to the rider’s head size means that riders who alternate between wearing their hair loose or tied up can use two interchangeable linings of different sizes. This also applies to children who change head size during the growing period. Parents can buy the next size up and replace the lining that has become too tight, without having to look for a new helmet.

Samshield linings are only available in black. With every helmet ordered through My Riding Boots, you will receive one standard black Samshield helmet liner for free! You do not need to order this liner separately. However, if you would like a spare liner, this separate product is ideal for you.
