Petrie boot maintenance

“As with almost all types of leather, maintenance starts with stain removal. You do this with a suede brush. The most important thing with nubuck is not to rub the stains with a cloth. If you do, you will push the dirt into the pores and it will be almost impossible to repair. Use the rubber side of the brush for removing dirt, and the copper side for roughing up the leather. If the stains are still not completely gone, you can “”wash”” your boots locally with a leather wash or with a cleaner. Due to the vulnerability of nubuck, weekly impregnation of these fabrics is necessary. Especially if you wear the boots often. Use a good quality impregnating spray for this. In addition to making the fabric dirt and water-repellent, you also bring out the color.

For product damage to your Petrie boots within 1 year after purchase, please contact our customer service team. In the event of a manufacturing defect, the boots will then be returned to us. Zippers, scratches, damage caused by your own actions, or wear and tear from riding can mostly be repaired at your local shoemaker. This will not fall under Petrie’s or our own warranty policy.
